.looking back.

One upside of keeping a blog (when I actually update!), is a record of past New Year's resolutions. Here is last year's.

A bad habit I'm going to break:

Skipping meals. I am the queen of skipping meals.

Well, I still skip meals. But I'm slowly adapting for that. I know eat brunch instead of skipping breakfast altogether...so, that's progress, I guess.

A new skill I'd like to learn:

Hmm....I learned the basic stitches of tatting last week, but I want to learn how to actually tat.

Still only know the very basics. Oops.

What I'm going to do for others:

Open my home to others on a regular basis.

This, I have done. Moving to North Carolina and living on base has been wonderful, and provided many opportunities to be a host. I'm definitely looking forward to another year of this!

A place I'd like to visit:

I want to take my kiddos to Legoland this year!

Well, that didn't happen, either. Instead of moving to California like we had wanted, we are staying in North Carolina...so, places to visit have changed.

A book I'd like to read:

Snobs by Julian Fellowes. I love Downton Abbey, so I think I might like it!

I just cannot get through this one. Although I do pull it out every time I'm having trouble sleeping!

A new food I'd like to try:

I want to try cooking more with whole foods. Little to no processed foods.

This is an ongoing process. I make so many more things from scratch now than I ever have before. Pinterest is amazing for that!

I'm going to do better at:

Keeping myself well-kept.

Like so many other things on this list, it's ongoing. My wardrobe is shifting over to nicer clothes, my makeup bag is being used more and more, and I'm learning with my hair.

.2015.

2015 didn't go the way I wanted...not by a long shot. But there were countless blessings. While I am not sorry to see this year close, I look forward to 2016 with great anticipation! It should be wonderful, dear ones.
