If you are considering adopting a more minimalist approach for your home, consider these five truths:
Getting rid of the thing does not mean getting rid of the memory.
If your blessings become your burdens, then they are no longer a blessing
If it doesn't fit, get rid of it
More isn't better. It's just more.
If you forgot about it, you probably don't need it.
So so so true. I struggle so much with getting rid of stuff. I need to remember to stop attaching emotions to objects. Thank you for the reminders and tips.
ReplyDeleteSo glad it was helpful!
DeleteMost helpful to declutter before we are in full swing of the holidays.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely one of my favorite times to prepare my heart by preparing my home.
DeleteWe were on the same page with our 2nd to last post here. I did the summary in a set of 5 with links. Hey, it works. I pinned this post. Hoping to check the links later. The sentences alone are extremely thought provoking.
ReplyDeleteIt totally works! Now to figure out what to say tomorrow.
DeleteI love these titles! So true and a great outlined thought! I will be reading through each when I get more time! Thanks!

Thank you so much! I am looking forward to reading more blogs next month.
DeleteI just love this! We are on a journey to become more minimalist but I have such a hard time letting go of certain items because of sentiment. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear that it offered you some encouragement.
DeleteAh, so true!! My things have been in storage for about 6 weeks and we have finally moved into our home. As we get settled in, I realize how many things I really didn't need to keep! If I can go this long without it, I really didn't need it at all!
ReplyDeleteThat happened after our last move...there wasn't a whole lot I missed except my own bed. :-)
DeleteVery true- short and sweet! Thanks, I hope I get to catch up after writing everyday...:)
ReplyDeleteCatching up is on my to-do list, too!
DeleteThe last one really is true--we moved three times and never unpacked six or seven boxes. When I finally unpacked them, I realized I didn't need the stuff and I gave it all away.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing, isn't it?
